The driver of the Kia was taken to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Angelina County, TX. – A woman was killed in a car accident on Tuesday near Lufkin in Angelina County.
According to local police, the accident happened around 10 a.m. on U.S. Highway 69.
A woman was driving a 2024 Kia Sportage south on U.S. 69 when she failed to yield the right-of-way while trying to get onto the highway from a private driveway and pulled into the path of a 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe.
A female passenger of the Kia was transported to a local hospital, where she died while receiving treatment.
The driver of the Kia was taken to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet was also taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
