The woman was taken to the hospital, where she later died

Wichita Falls, TX. – A 70-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle in Wichita Falls on Tuesday evening.
According to the Wichita Falls Police Department, the accident happened around 4 p.m. on Arthur Street and Seymour Road near Crockett Elementary
The elderly woman had gone to pick up her grandchild and was crossing the street when she stepped between two cars in the pickup line.
A Hyundai Santa Fe driver attempted to stop but accidentally accelerated, pinning the pedestrian with another vehicle.
The woman was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
The other drivers involved in the accident suffered minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
