Dallas, TX – Two teenagers were injured Friday morning in a pedestrian accident in Dallas, according to the police.
The accident happened at about 7:40 a.m. on December 12 in the 4100 block of Horizon North Parkway.
Police said Ziyah Sawyer, 12, and her friend, Elizah, 12, were walking across the street to a school bus stop when they were hit by a truck.
Both victims, who are Plano ISD students, were taken to Children’s Medical Center Dallas with serious injuries and both required surgery.
Additional information regarding the accident was not available.
The police are investigating the accident.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred in the 4100 block of Horizon North Parkway at around 7:40 a.m.
Two teenagers were struck by a vehicle in unclear circumstances.
The two juveniles were taken to the local hospital for treatment.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
