Poole was taken to the hospital with severe and life-changing burns.

Hale County, TX – A 19-year-old college student was seriously injured earlier this month in a DUI accident in Hale County, according to officials.
The accident happened on September 7 on Interstate 27.
Officials said 44-year-old Thomas Rich was driving a Porsche at a high rate of speed when he rear-ended an SUV driven by Aidan Poole.
The force of the impact sent the SUV airborne, and when it landed, the gas tank exploded, causing the vehicle to burn.
Poole was taken to the hospital with severe and life-changing burns.
Rich sustained minor injuries. His 44-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment and later released.
Rich was charged with intoxication assault. He has since bailed out of jail.
No other details were provided.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
