A Cadillac XT6 was traveling north when it struck a Kia Soul, causing it to roll multiple times

Austin, TX. – Two people were killed in a car accident in Southeast Austin on Wednesday evening.
According to the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, the accident happened around 7:49 p.m. on South State Highway 130.
A Cadillac XT6 was traveling north when it struck a Kia Soul. The Cadillac then rolled multiple times.
The driver and passenger of the Cadillac, who were later identified as 20-year-old Ametty Laely Mejia and 19-year-old Genesis Abril Sanchez, were ejected from the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other people were evaluated at the scene and released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
