Nueces County, TX – A woman was killed on Saturday in a rear-end collision in Nueces County, according to the troopers.
The fatal collision occurred just after 11:00 p.m. on August 23 at the intersection of FM 43 and FM 2444.
Troopers said 60-year-old Angelita Chavez of Corpus Christi was stopped at the intersection when a pickup truck rear-ended her SUV.
The collision caused the SUV to roll over.
Chavez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pickup truck driver, a 33-year-old, was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The DPS Troopers from the Corpus Christi Highway Patrol Office are investigating the accident.
