Amarillo, TX – An elderly woman was killed Thursday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Amarillo, according to the authorities.
The fatal collision happened around 8:20 a.m. on July 17 on Coulter Street at Andover Drive.
Authorities said a blue Chevy Equinox was attempting to turn northbound onto Coulter from Andover when it was struck by a southbound GMC Terrain.
Bessie Fickel, 84, who was a passenger in the Equinox, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
No additional information was available.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
