Victoria, TX – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Sunday night in a hit-and-run accident in Victoria, according to the authorities.
The accident occurred around 7:00 p.m. on September 21 at the intersection of Airline Road and Sam Houston Drive.
Authorities said Jescey-Raye Jaydon Ayala, 19, was driving a gold Chevrolet Trailblazer when he struck 50-year-old Brandon Weppler, who was on a motorcycle.
Weppler was taken to a Victoria hospital with serious injuries, before being airlifted to an out-of-town hospital.
Ayala fled the scene after the accident. His vehicle was found on Guadalupe Street, and he was arrested on several charges, including intoxication assault, and accident involving serious bodily injury.
No other details were released.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
