Cavione Ranson was riding a motorcycle in the area when he collided with a car

Austin, TX. – Cavione Marice Ranson, 34, has been identified as the moped rider who died after colliding with a vehicle on Tuesday just east of downtown Austin.
According to the police, the accident happened in the 500 block of South Pleasant Valley Road, near the bridge over Lady Bird Lake, at around 4:57 p.m.
Ranson was riding a motorcycle in the area when he collided with a car.
The man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver and the passenger of the vehicle were not injured.
Police say the driver was not impaired and cooperated with the investigation.
APD’s Vehicular Homicide unit is investigating the accident.
