Charlie Jones Jr Killed in Fort Worth Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 30

Fort Worth, Texas – The man who was killed earlier this month in a hit-and-run accident in Fort Worth has been identified as Charlie Jones Jr., 82, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.

The crash happened on February 2, in the 1700 block of Interstate 30.

Police said Jones was driving eastbound on the interstate when an 18-wheeler moved into his lane and collided head-on with his vehicle.

The impact caused Jones’ car to spin and strike a guardrail.

The 18-wheeler driver left the scene after the accident.

Jones was taken to a Fort Worth hospital where he died two days later.

The police are investigating the crash and are asking the public’s help to locate witnesses of the hit-and-run. Anyone who has information about this hit-and-run accident or the driver of the 18-wheeler is asked to call Detective Carter at 817-392-4885.
