Corpus Christi, TX. – A juvenile died after being struck by a car in Corpus Christi on Friday.
According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, the accident happened 1400 block of Horne Road.
A driver who was parked in a parking spot reportedly began to back up and struck a juvenile who was kneeling on a skateboard in the complex parking lot.
The juvenile was transported to a local hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
