Killeen, TX – A rider was killed Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle accident in Killeen, according to the police.
The fatal collision took place around 2:25 p.m. on July 22 in the 2200 block of Clear Creek Road.
Police said a black Jeep SUV was traveling southbound and was attempting to turn left into a parking lot when it was struck by a northbound white Yamaha motorcycle that was traveling at a high rate of speed.
The motorcyclist, 23-year-old Colton Griffin, was ejected and thrown a great distance.
Griffin was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead around 3:29 p.m.
The three occupants of the SUV sustained minor injuries.
Further details regarding the accident were not available.
The police are investigating the accident.
