The deadly accident happened around 9:00 p.m. on July 14 at the intersection of West Hildebrand Avenue and Blanco Road.

San Antonio, TX – A pedestrian died Monday evening after being hit by a vehicle in San Antonio’s North Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
The deadly accident happened around 9:00 p.m. on July 14 at the intersection of West Hildebrand Avenue and Blanco Road.
Police said Deborah Melendez, 68, was crossing the street against a do not walk signal. She failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was hit by a gray Nissan Sentra that was traveling westbound through the intersection.
Melendez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Nissan driver, a man, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The police are investigating the accident.
