Baytown, TX – An elderly woman is dead following a fatal auto-pedestrian incident at a Walmart parking lot on Garth Road in Baytown on Monday morning, according to Baytown Police.
The deadly incident was reported just before 11:30 a.m. in the Walmart parking lot in the 4900 block of Garth Road.
Baytown police officers and Baytown Fire Department crews responded to the scene after receiving reports of a person struck by a car.
The responding officers and fire crews found a woman, approximately 86 years old, suffering from severe injuries.
According to the Baytown PD, bystanders and first responders provided life-saving measures, but the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The incident remains under investigation.
