The fatal collision happened around 1:42 a.m. on July 15 in the northbound lanes of U.S. 81/287 just north of County Road 2395.

Alvord, TX – A man was killed Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle collision, a few miles south of Alvord, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened around 1:42 a.m. on July 15 in the northbound lanes of U.S. 81/287 just north of County Road 2395.
DPS said a 2020 Kenworth towing a trailer was making a right turn into a business parking lot when it was rear-ended by a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado.
The Chevrolet driver, Eric Brady, 42, of Alvord, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Kenworth, Dara Singh, 61, of Sanger, California, was uninjured in the accident.
The collision closed the highway for about three hours.
The authorities are investigating the collision.
