
San Antonio, TX – The man who was killed early Saturday morning in a pedestrian accident in San Antonio has been identified as 20-year-old Federico Gonzalez, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The deadly accident happened around 1:50 a.m., June 7, on Loop 410 near Perrin Beitel.
Police said Gonzalez had left a nearby dance hall and attempted to cross the highway when he was struck by a Toyota Tundra.
Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Tundra stopped near the exit to I-35. The driver, 42-year-old Joseph Cortez, was evaluated at the scene, was found to be intoxicated, and was arrested.
The police are investigating the accident.

Authorities said the man had left a dance hall and began running through the parking lot toward the highway. A Toyota Tundra then struck him when he was running across the highway.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
The Tundra driver remained at the scene, was evaluated, was found to be intoxicated, and was arrested.
The police are investigating the accident.
