The driver and two children in the car were transported to different local hospitals for treatment

Corpus Christi, TX. – A woman was killed in a collision that left two other people injured in Corpus Christi on Monday morning.
According to the Texas Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 12:42 a.m. on US 77 near State Highway 89.
79-year-old Gregorio Magallan Rios was driving a 2021 Honda Accord southbound when he lost control of the car and drifted off the highway, where he crashed into a highway sign. The vehicle rolled over from the impact.
74-year-old Hilda Montes, of Corpus Christi, was a passenger in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and two children in the car were transported to different local hospitals for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
