Ector County, TX. – 42-year-old Jessica Jo Gatlin, of Midland, has been identified as the bicyclist who died after colliding with a car last week in Odessa.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 7:39 p.m. on February 28, in the area of FM 1936 and Blair Street.

A Suzuki Gran Vitara was traveling southbound on FM 1366 in the left lane of travel when it struck a bicyclist traveling west to east across FM 1366.

Jo Gatlin was riding the bicycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Suzuki was not injured.

More details about the accident were not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
