The Burkeville Fire Department arrived at the scene and pronounced the driver dead at the scene

Burkeville, TX. – A 41-year-old woman was killed in a collision involving an 18-wheeler on Monday afternoon in Burkeville.
A tractor-trailer’s rear tire blew out causing the truck to veer off the roadway where it hit a tree at around 4 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The Burkeville Fire Department arrived at the scene and pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
The victim was later identified as Josette Blasdel, of Leesville, Louisiana.
A passenger in the truck was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
