Loving County, TX – One person was killed and another was injured Thursday night in a head-on collision in Loving County, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened around 10:20 p.m. on August 14 on SH 302 at mile marker 203.
DPS said Joshua Andrew Ramirez, 39, of Lubbock, was driving a pickup truck eastbound on the highway when he crashed into a westbound vehicle with a trailer driven by Mariza Herrera Guerrero, 41, of El Centro, California.
The pickup veered into the westbound lane and crashed head-on with Guerrero’s vehicle.
Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Guerrero sustained minor injuries.
No other information was available.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
