The fatal collision happened around 9:45 p.m. on August 15 at the intersection of W. University Boulevard and Knox Road.

Ector County, TX – Two people were killed and four others were injured Friday night in a two-vehicle collision in Ector County, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened around 9:45 p.m. on August 15 at the intersection of W. University Boulevard and Knox Road.
DPS said a 2019 Chevrolet 2500, driven by 61-year-old Juan Manuel Nunez-Quiroz of Odessa, was traveling southbound on Knox Avenue when it failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a 2012 GMC Yukon.
Nunez-Quiroz was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Yukon driver, 34-year-old Rachel Avery of Odessa, was taken to Medical Center Hospital with minor injuries. Her passenger, 32-year-old Tyson Cooper Avery, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three children in the Yukon, girls ages 3 and 12, were taken to Medical Center Hospital with minor injuries.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
