San Antonio, TX. – A woman died in a head-on collision involving a suspected drunk driver Tuesday night in San Antonio.
The fatal wreck happened around 9:30 p.m. along Harry Wurzbach Road near Eisenhauer Road.
28-year-old Karina Ramirez was in a car with two children when she was hit head-on by a truck traveling the wrong way.
The impact of the collision caused the truck to flip onto its roof.
The woman was transported to the hospital where she died while receiving treatment.
The children, 9-year-old Skylar Wolford and 7-year-old Aliyah Frautschi, were taken to hospital as a precaution.
The 45-year-old truck driver was hospitalized with minor injuries. He was later arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
