Dallas, TX – The 23-year-old woman who was hit and killed by a vehicle while walking with another person toward their ride on Gillespie Street on Thursday night has been identified as Katherine Kerl.

According to the police, Kerl and another person were walking toward a parked rideshare ride vehicle when they were hit by another vehicle on Gillespie Street, near Cedar Springs Road and Turtle Creek Boulevard.

The deadly incident happened at about 10 p.m. on Thursday, January 16.

Both Kerl and the other party were taken to the hospital where Kerl was pronounced dead.

Dallas, TX – A 23-year-old woman is dead and another person is injured after being hit by a vehicle as they walked toward their rideshare ride in Dallas, according to Dallas PD.

The accident happened shortly after 10 p.m. on Thursday, January 16 on on Gillespie Street, near Cedar Springs Road and Turtle Creek Boulevard.

According to the police, two people – the 23-year-old woman and another person – were walking toward a parked rideshare vehicle when another driver pulled around the parked car and struck them.

Both pedestrians were transported to the hospital where the 23-year-old woman died. The other patient remains in stable condition.

The driver that struck the victims remained at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
