Luther Young Jr failed to yield the right of way and entered the intersection, and was struck by another semi-truck which was traveling eastbound on SH 302.
Luther Young Jr. Killed in Ector County Semi-Truck Accident on FM 866 at SH 302
Ector County, Texas – One person was killed early Monday morning following a semi-truck accident in Ector County, according to the DPS.
The fatal crash happened around 2:30 a.m., May 12, at the intersection of FM 866 and SH 302.
DPS said Luther Bernard Young Jr. was driving a semi-truck northbound on FM 866 and was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection. He failed to yield the right of way, entered the intersection, and was struck by another semi-truck which was traveling eastbound on SH 302.
Young Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.
The authorities are conducting the investigation.
