Houston, TX – A 33-year-old man was killed early Monday morning in a pedestrian accident in Houston, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened around 12:32 a.m. on August 11 in the 13800 block of Northwest Freeway.
Police said a Kenworth cement mixer truck was traveling outbound when it struck a man who had been standing on the shoulder and had stepped onto the main lanes of the freeway.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
The driver of the cement mixer remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
The police are investigating the accident.
