Houston, TX – A 35-year-old man was killed on Thursday in a pedestrian accident in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
The deadly accident happened around 12:20 a.m., July 3, in the 9200 block of Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59).
Police said the man was attempting to cross the freeway when he was struck by a northbound blue Volkswagen Tiguan.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
The Volkswagen driver remained at the scene, was not intoxicated, and was questioned and released.
The police are investigating the accident.
