The deadly accident happened around 6:40 a.m. on September 19 at the intersection of Business 20 and County Road 1250.

Midland, TX – A woman was killed Friday morning in a pedestrian accident in Midland, according to the Texas DPS.
The deadly accident happened around 6:40 a.m. on September 19 at the intersection of Business 20 and County Road 1250.
DPS said 44-year-old Jesse Lee Rodriguez of Odessa, driving a 2021 Mazda CX-5 eastbound in the left lane of Business 20.
Rodriguez reportedly tried to avoid Maria Ajayi, 53, of Houston, who was crossing the roadway northbound, but was unable to and hit her.
Ajayi was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital, where she later died.
Rodriguez was uninjured in the accident.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
