The fatal collision happened around 7:30 p.m., June 7, on U.S. Highway 62 near County Road 213.

Gaines County, TX – A woman was killed Saturday evening in a two-vehicle collision in Gaines County, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened around 7:30 p.m., June 7, on U.S. Highway 62 near County Road 213.
DPS said a 2012 Peterbilt towing a trailer was traveling eastbound in the left lane while Miranda Mariah Greene, 31, of Artesia, New Mexico, was driving a 2019 Kia Forte behind.
Greene failed to control her speed and rear-ended the Peterbilt that was attempting to turn left onto CR 213.
Greene was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Peterbilt driver was uninjured in the accident.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision.
The DPS is investigating the collision.
