One Seriously Injured in Austin Motorcycle Accident on North Interstate Highway 35
Austin, Texas – According to the police, a motorcyclist was seriously injured last Monday in a hit-and-run accident in Austin.
The crash happened around 1:46 a.m., March 18, in the 8400 block of North Interstate Highway 35 Southbound.
Police said a vehicle rear-ended a sedan in the 100 block of N. IH 35 Southbound. The sedan driver followed the vehicle which eventually rear-ended a motorcycle.
The vehicle fled the scene at a high rate of speed.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The hit-and-run vehicle was described as a two-door, unknown model Infiniti that is black in color and has specialty Texas license plates with a star on the left side, and the driver was described as a young Hispanic man.
The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information may submit their tip anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
