Cherokee County, TX. – The man who was killed Sunday evening in a motorcycle accident in the Ponta area of Cherokee County has been identified as Neal Brian Jackson, 43, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal accident took place around 7:30 p.m., July 6, on CR 4401, just off FM 2274.
DPS said a pickup truck towing a trailer was traveling eastbound while a motorcycle was traveling westbound.
The pickup came over a hill and was struck by the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, Jackson, was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
