Lubbock, TX – A police officer was injured Saturday night in a two-vehicle collision in Lubbock, according to the authorities.
The collision happened on January 17 at the intersection of 34th Street and Quaker Avenue.
Authorities said a Lubbock Police officer located a stolen vehicle at about 10:47 p.m. in the 3400 block of Boston Avenue and they tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle did not stop and was pursued by the officer.
The suspect vehicle then collided with another vehicle near the intersection.
Another officer who was responding to assist collided with another vehicle at the intersection.
The officer and the driver of the suspect vehicle sustained minor injuries in the accident.
The collision remains under investigation.
