Houston, TX – One person was killed and two others were injured on Thursday in a two-vehicle collision in Houston, according to the police.
The deadly collision happened around 2:10 p.m., June 5, in the 9200 block of Fondren Road.
Police said a white Honda Accord and a white Ford F20 were traveling southbound at a high rate of speed. The Honda switched lanes, into the path of the Ford, and the vehicles collided.
Both vehicles left the roadway, after the collision, and hit street signs, poles, and trees before coming to a rest.
Both drivers were taken to local hospitals in stable condition.
Reem Musallam, 37, who was a passenger in the Honda, was taken to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in critical condition where she later died.
The police are investigating the accident.
