Austin, TX – The bicyclist who was critically injured on Sunday in a traffic accident in Southeast Austin has died, according to the police.
Reginaldo Perez, 49, was pronounced dead on July 15.
The accident happened around 2:26 a.m. on July 13 at the intersection of Montopolis Drive and Carnation Terrace.
Police said a pickup truck struck Perez at the intersection.
Perez was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead two days later.
The pickup truck driver remained at the scene, was not impaired, and cooperated with the investigators.
