1 Injured in Amarillo Crash on Bayswater Drive and Coulter Street

Amarillo, TX. - An officer was injured in a crash on Thursday morning in Amarillo.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened on Bayswater Drive and Coulter Street at around 2 a.m.

A passenger vehicle driven by 28-year-old Micah Glenn Lacy traveling southbound on Coulter struck the rear of a patrol unit, causing both vehicles to spin out of control.

The officer was transported to the area hospital with unknown injuries.

Police suspect the driver of the passenger vehicle was intoxicated and was arrested.

He was booked into the Randall County Jail on charges of intoxication assault with a vehicle, causing serious bodily injury.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
