1 Injured in El Paso Crash on Interstate 10 near Mile Marker 68

El Paso, TX. - A woman was injured after a high-speed pursuit ended in a crash on Wednesday morning in El Paso.

According to the El Paso Police Department, the accident occurred on Interstate 10 near mile marker 68 at around 6:33 a.m.

A red Jeep driven by 31-year-old Adrian Leonardo Sandoval was traveling westbound on IH-10 when it failed to yield after an attempted traffic stop, resulting in a pursuit.

The Jeep struck another vehicle before leaving the roadway and crashed into a canal.

Adrian was removed from the canal, while one woman was removed from the vehicle.

The woman was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Adrian was taken into custody and was charged with evading arrest or detention causing serious bodily injury, reckless driving, and human smuggling.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
