1 Killed in Alpine Car Crash on U.S. Highway 67

Alpine, TX. - One person was killed in a head-on collision involving a police patrol vehicle on Tuesday morning in Alpine, Brewster County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on U.S. Highway 67.

A DPS Chevrolet Tahoe patrol vehicle and a blue GMC Sierra pickup truck collided head-on in unclear circumstances.

Paramedics pronounced the driver of the GMC Sierra dead at the scene.

One trooper was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.

More details about the crash were not provided.
