1 Killed in Dallas County Crash on Interstate 20 near Dowdy Ferry Road
Dallas County, TX. – One person died after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday morning in Dallas County
According to the Dallas County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred on Interstate 20 near Dowdy Ferry Road and St. Augustine Road at around 12:22 a.m.
The man was changing his 18-wheeler tire on the shoulder of I-20 after experiencing mechanical issues and was struck by another vehicle driven by a 28-year-old woman.
The woman fled the scene without stopping or rendering aid.
The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene
The woman was later located and was booked into the Dallas County Jail on a charge of collision involving death.
More details on the collision were not provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
