2 Men Killed, Woman Critically Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on I-35 in San Antonio

San Antonio, TX – Two people were killed and another person suffered critical injuries following a wrong-way crash on Interstate 35 early Thursday morning, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

The collision occurred at approximately 2:31 a.m. on I-35 near the Interstate 37 interchange.

 Police said a 27-year-old man was driving a blue Chrysler the wrong way on I-35 when it collided head-on with a red Toyota operated by a 35-year-old man.

Both drivers suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the Chrysler, identified only as a 25-year-old woman, was hospitalized with critical injuries.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved.

The cause of the wrong-way driving remains under investigation by the San Antonio Police Department.
