2 Killed in Texarkana Crash on Highway 71

Texarkana, TX. - Two people were killed in a crash involving two vehicles on Thursday in Texarkana.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash occurred on Highway 71.

An SUV and an 18-wheeler were involved in the collision. An SUV became wedged underneath the 18-wheeler after the collision.

Two people succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Paramedics transported three people to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

The Texas State Police is investigating the crash.
