Harris Lane Killed in Ector County Motorcycle Accident at Cottonwood and Lariat

Ector County, TX. - A 26-year-old woman was killed in a motorcycle accident on Sunday morning in Ector County.

The fatal accident occurred near E. Cottonwood Road and Lariat Trail at around 12:20 a.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

A Harley-Davidson was traveling westbound on Cottonwood directly behind a Chevrolet Camaro.

The Camaro reportedly made an unsafe U-turn and collided with the motorcycle.

A passenger on the motorcycle, 26-year-old Harris Lane, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The operator of the motorcycle was taken to Odessa Medical Center with serious injuries.

The driver of Chevrolet Camaro sustained minor injuries.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
