Jerry Johnson Killed in Orange County Accident on FM 105 near Sunnydale

Orange County, TX. - 59-year-old Jerry Johnson died after being struck by a vehicle on Friday evening in Orange County.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened on FM 105 near Sunnydale and Vidor at around 8:30 p.m.

A 47-year-old woman from Kountze was driving a 2020 Jeep Wrangler northbound when she struck the man walking in the roadway

Paramedics rushed Johnson to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The woman remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

More details on the accident were not provided.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
