30-Year-Old Man Killed in New Braunfels Pedestrian Accident on I-35 Frontage Road

New Braunfels, TX – A 30-year-old man was killed Friday morning in a pedestrian accident in New Braunfels, according to the New Braunfels Police Department.

The deadly accident happened around 8:35 a.m. on June 5 on the Interstate 35 frontage road near Loop 337 and Texas 46.

Police said the New Braunfels man was walking along the frontage road when he was struck by a flatbed truck. Investigators said the truck was leaving a business and turning around when it struck the man.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The driver of the truck, identified only as a 43-year-old man from New Braunfels, was not injured and remained at the scene.

The area of Interstate 35 Frontage Road was shut down for about three hours as the NBPD Traffic Unit worked at the scene.

The New Braunfels Police Department is investigating the accident.
