Michael Jones Killed in Reeves County Car Accident on US 285
Reeves County, TX. - Michael Jones, 30, was killed in a car crash that left another injured on Saturday morning in Reeves County.
The fatal accident occurred on US 285, according to the Reeves County Sheriff's Office.
Michael Jones was driving a Ford F-150 southbound on US 285 when he veered left, crossed the median line into the northbound lane, and collided head-on with a semi-truck towing a trailer.
The impact sent the semi-truck off the roadway and came to rest in a ditch.
Jones was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
The driver of the semi-truck, Ryan Delaughter, was transported to Reeves County Hospital with unknown injuries.
More details on the collision were not available.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
