Austin, TX. – An Austin ISD police chief was injured in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday evening in Austin.
According to the Austin Police Department, the accident happened on West US-290 at the MoPac service road ramp near Southwest Parkway at around 8:20 p.m.
The AISD Police Department's motorcycle unit was participating in a motorcade operation when they were involved in a crash.
The AISD police chief, Wayne Sneed, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Additional details about the crash were not provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
