Tyler Triplett and Randi Holshouser among 3 Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Texas 121 in Fort Worth
Fort Worth, TX — The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office has identified two of the three people who were killed in a wrong-way crash on Texas 121 near downtown Fort Worth early Tuesday morning, according to police.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office identified two of the victims as 32-year-old Tyler Danielle Triplett and Randi Holshouser.
The fatal collision occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2026, on Texas 121 near Riverside Drive. The crash prompted the closure of the highway for several hours as authorities investigated the scene.
According to police, a Jeep was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Texas 121 when it collided with another vehicle. That vehicle had moved to avoid the wrong-way Jeep but was struck on the driver's side toward the rear. No major injuries were initially reported. Shortly afterward, the Jeep continued and collided head-on with a car carrying four people.
The Jeep driver and two women inside the car were killed at the scene. The driver of the car and Triplet’s daughter, identified as 11-year-old Ranleigh, were transported to a local hospital. Ranleigh had critical injuries and remains hospitalized.
The circumstances that led the Jeep to travel in the wrong direction on Texas 121 remain under investigation. No arrests were reported in the information provided.
Officers from the Traffic Investigation Unit responded to the scene and began investigating the fatal collision. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the other two people who died.
The wrong-way crash resulted in a major roadway closure near downtown Fort Worth. The southbound lanes of Texas 121 at Riverside Drive were closed while investigators processed the scene and were reopened by approximately 7:30 a.m., according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
