Houston, TX – The man who was killed Friday night in a hit-and-run accident in southwest Houston has been identified as Ricky Ornelas, 34, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened around 9:45 p.m. on September 5 in the 9300 block of Country Creek near Club Creek Drive.
Police said Yimmy Ulloa-Padilla, 20, was driving a white Ford F-150 southbound when he hit Ornelas, who was in a moving lane of traffic.
Ornelas was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ulloa-Padilla fled the scene, and his vehicle was found in the 11660 block of West Bellfort Avenue. He was arrested and was determined to be impaired. He has been charged with failure to stop and render aid in an accident involving death and driving while intoxicated.
The police are investigating the accident.

Ulloa-Padilla fled the scene, and his car was found about four miles from the scene. He was arrested and charged with DWI and failing to stop and render aid.
The police are investigating the accident.
