Denton, TX – The woman who was killed Friday night in a two-vehicle accident in Denton has been identified as 58-year-old Rossana Cacal, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The fatal accident happened around 10:00 p.m. on August 15 on Windsor Drive at Northway near Bonnie Brae Street.
Police said a vehicle was traveling westbound on Windsor and was turning onto Northway. It failed to yield the right of way while turning and was hit on the passenger’s side by a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Windsor.
Cacal was a passenger in the westbound vehicle. She was taken to the hospital, where she later died. She was a chef at The Chestnut Tree restaurant in Denton.
The driver of the westbound vehicle and the driver of the other vehicle, Noah Kendrick, 22, were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Kendrick was found to have been intoxicated and was arrested after being released from the hospital. He has been charged with intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the City of Denton Jail and was being held on a $62,500 bond before bonding out on Saturday, August 16.
The other driver was treated and released.
Intoxication and speed were factors in the accident.
The police are investigating the accident.

Denton, TX – A woman was killed and her husband was injured Friday night in a DWI accident in Denton, according to the police.
The fatal accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on August 15 on Windsor Drive at Northway, near Bonnie Brae Street.
Police said a vehicle was traveling westbound on Windsor and was turning onto Northway when it was hit on the passenger’s side by a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Windsor.
Both occupants of the westbound vehicle, a married couple, and the driver of the eastbound vehicle, Noah Kendrick, 22, were taken to a local hospital.
The woman, who was in her 50s, later died at the hospital. Her name has not been released. Her husband was treated.
