Abilene, TX – One person was killed and another was critically injured Monday night in a motorcycle accident in Abilene, according to the police.
The deadly accident occurred around 10:00 p.m., June 16, at the intersection of Treadaway and Butternut Street.
Police said 20-year-old Skylar Fowler, of Abilene, was riding a motorcycle southbound on Treadaway when he collided with a truck that was turning northbound onto Butternut Street.
Fowler was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. His passenger, a 20-year-old woman, was airlifted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Poor lighting and speed were possible factors in the accident.
The police are investigating the accident.
