Midland, TX – One person was killed in a Monday evening collision involving a big rig in Midland, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

According to DPS, Biorskys Sanchez Fernandez, 47, of Las Vegas, Nevada, was driving a 2016 Peterbilt with a trailer heading west on FM 307 when he failed to yield the right of way and made a left turn in front of a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban that was traveling east on FM 307.
The two vehicles collided and the driver of the Chevrolet, identified as Steffan Robert Mick, 29, of Midland, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The operator of the big rig was unhurt.
An investigation into the deadly accident is under investigation.
