Houston, TX – Several people were injured Saturday afternoon in a collision involving a METRO bus in Houston, according to the authorities.
The collision happened on January 3 in the area of State Highway 288 and McGowen Street.
Authorities said the METRO bus was traveling on McGowen Street on the overpass for Highway 288 when it was rear-ended by another vehicle.
The impact caused the METRO bus to flip over.
One person had to be extricated from the wreckage.
The driver of the METRO bus was uninjured in the accident.
The driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
The 13 passengers in the METRO bus were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
